Logan Square is in some ways unique among NCP neighborhoods. It was not devastated by racial turnover and disinvestment in the post-World War II years and did not suffer huge losses of population and housing.

New Homes opening doors in Land Trust 5/13/2009
Eleven affordable single-family houses and 21 condominiums are in development on Chicago Community Land Trust property in the 26th Ward. Six of the single-family houses are sold or under contract, one of them to Thea Crum.
